Jeremy Love – Managing Attorney

From a young age, Jeremy Love has been passionate about helping those in need. During his legal career, he has volunteered at Legal Services Alabama, the World Jurist Association, the Latin American Association and the International Institute of Rhode Island.  Jeremy began working in private practice after law school in Atlanta, but left Troutman Sanders LLP to return to his native Birmingham and become the Legal Services Director at the Hispanic Interest Coalition of Alabama (HICA).  At HICA he assisted low-income members of the immigrant community by conducting consultations, filing immigration applications and conducting legal clinics around the state.

Jeremy returned to private practice in 2012 and formed The Love Law Firm, LLC, where he focuses his practice around immigration.  He received his law degree from Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI, a degree in Spanish from the University of Tennessee and is a member of both the Alabama and Georgia state bars.  Jeremy served on the board of directors at the Birmingham Volunteer Lawyers Program.  He received a Certificate of Commendation from the US Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division for “outstanding performance and invaluable assistance.”  Jeremy was featured in B-Metro Magazine's "Stars of the Bar" special report as a "young attorney on the rise."

Jeremy enjoys traveling with his wife and son, live music, and attending football and soccer games.  He also supports organizations such as Alabama Coalition for Immigrant Justice and the Birmingham Zoo.

 

MariangelieMariangelie Velazquez Pagan - Paralegal

Mariangelie Velazquez Pagan handles cases including Family Petitions, Adjustment of Status, Fiancé Visas, U-Visas and VAWA petitions. She is fluent in English and Spanish and serves as liaison between attorneys and clients while providing timely and professional service to all.

Mariangelie graduated, Cum Laude, from the University of Puerto Rico with a B.A. in Criminal Justice and from the American Bar Association (ABA) accredited Paralegal Program at Samford University, where she was on the Dean’s List. Mariangelie is originally from Puerto Rico and moved to Birmingham in 2012.  She enjoys traveling, dancing, listening to audiobooks and spending time with her family, friends and two dogs.

 

JaelJael M. Delgado - Paralegal
Jael Delgado serves as the first point of contact with the firm; she keeps the office running smoothly and takes her role very seriously. Jael is originally from El Salvador, and as a DREAMer (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival recipient) she has always been interested in immigration law. Her family moved to the United States 15 years ago, and her own immigration path greatly motivates her in helping others achieve their dreams.

Jael began working in the legal profession following years of extensive customer service and clerical work in other regional companies. She specializes in DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival) cases as well as filing preparation of other cases such as Family Petitions, Adjustment of Status and Naturalization. She routinely translates documents and provides a wide range of support to our clients, attorneys and paralegals.

In her free time, Jael enjoys the simple things in life, music, crafts and spending time with her husband, family and friends.
